The grigne-dints bike ride
This bike tour is named after the skulls with very pronounced teeth and a wide mouth that children carve out of beetroot (grigne-dints). This custom takes place at the time of All Saints' Day on the occasion of the beet harvest season in Hesbaye, an ideal region for cycling and for all ages.
Ride through the Burdinale-Mehaigne valley among fields and small Hesbaye villages before joining the RAVeL of line 127 to the municipality of Hannut. On this way, discover the manor house and chapel in Saives, the Château de Waleffe, the village of the weeping willow in Hosdent as well as the RAVeL Expo in Braives for art lovers (from the end of May to the end of September).
The tour ends in a greener setting by taking the lovely path along the Geer which takes you through the site of the former ponds of the "Râperie de Hollogne" and then the Hexapoda garden. Two superb sites of great biological interest.
