The mythical hill
Starting from Aywaille, you will travel along the Amblève to Remouchamps, which is famous for its cave housing the longest subterranean navigation in Europe (the Rubicon: 600 meters) and its mythical “La Redoute” hill, which is part of the Liège-Bastogne-Liège cycling race. Not to mention the new Maison du Cyclisme Liège-Bastogne-Liège situated in Sougné-Remouchamps. Recently inaugurated, it invites you to explore the history of one of the most popular sports and relive the highlights of competitive cycling! After passing close to Warnoumont woods, you will then pass through Sprimont and Lincé to reach another magnificent waterway: the Ourthe river. After several peaceful and bucolic kilometers, the very pretty village of Fraiture (Sprimont) will serve as the gateway to the last stage of this loop.
