Musée de la Vie wallonne (Museum of Walloon Life)
Course
Located in the heart of Liège, and renovated in 2008, the Musée de la vie wallonne offers an original and complete look at Wallonia from the 19th century to the present. Human and social history, economics, popular beliefs, literature, folklore or crafts, the life of Walloon citizens comes along with a dynamic museum itinerary like a way of life...
The museum visit begins on the 2nd floor with an introduction to ancient and contemporary Walloon life. The monumental work of the Liège market, shaped by Léopold Harzé, setting the scene for the ambiance of the journey: authentic, finely observant and intimately human just like the contemporary views proposed by Jim Sumkay, Liège photographer with the daily newspaper.
