One of the museum's greatest attractions is the unique and original nature of some of the exhibits on display, which tell the stories of some of cycling's greatest champions. |
What's New at the Museum...
|
The latest addition to the collection is nothing short of exceptional. French cycling legend Bernard Hinault personally delivered this unique racing bicycle, crafted entirely from wood by Daniel Baclez, to the Maison du Cyclisme Liège–Bastogne–Liège in Aywaille on 29 August 2024. |

A Unique Concept in Wallonia
Interactivity lies at the heart of the museum experience. Every exhibition space has been designed and illuminated to make the visit both educational and enjoyable. Step into the shoes of a sports commentator in a dedicated commentary booth, tackle the Côte de la Redoute alongside Philippe Gilbert using a virtual reality headset, or put your own climbing skills to the test on the interactive cycling simulator.QR codes allow visitors to use their smartphones to discover additional information about legendary riders, iconic races and the remarkable facts and figures presented in the exhibitions devoted to cycling's greatest tours.
Fun for the Whole Family – Ideal for Groups Too
Next door, fun activities are offered to enhance the visit of the youngest. Children aged 8 to 10 and 10 to 14 receive activity booklets tailored to their age group, allowing them to explore the museum in a fun and engaging way together with their parents or accompanying adults. If you’re a cycle tourist looking for an activity for your club during a trip to the Amblève Valley, the Maison du Cyclisme Liège–Bastogne–Liège is an ideal destination. Simply book your visit online and enjoy an experience filled with fascinating discoveries, lively discussions and memorable moments.
Strong Partnerships Behind the Project
|
This ambitious and large-scale project would not have been possible without the substantial financial support of the Province of Liège and the commitment of its staff. Equally important was the close cooperation between the Province's departments and the Municipality of Aywaille. |
