The third Node Inspectors’ Day

Since 2024, a community of volunteers has been helping to monitor and maintain the Province of Liège's junction node network.

Twice a year, the Node Inspectors walk the route assigned to them to identify and report any issues with signposting. This is an essential task for maintaining a high-quality network and ensuring an enjoyable experience for cycling tourists.

Now numbering over 190 enthusiasts, a large part of this team of volunteers gathered on Sunday 11 October at the Domaine de Palogne for the third edition of the day dedicated to them.

It was a special occasion to meet up, discuss each other's experiences and share their passion for cycling, all in a very friendly atmosphere.

The programme included a barbecue, a guided tour of Logne Castle and a 31.4 km cycle ride starting from Ferrières.

With a 500-metre elevation gain, its climbs and lovely descents, this undulating route presented a fine challenge for the cyclists, whilst allowing them to enjoy superb wooded and pastoral scenery.
